Practicing Vipassana meditation at home is essential for maintaining the benefits gained during a 10-day retreat. Old students are encouraged to designate a quiet, dedicated space in their house and sit for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. By observing the natural breath (Anapana) to sharpen the mind, and then objectively scanning the body’s sensations without reaction, practitioners can continue to purify the mind and cultivate equanimity in their daily lives.
